Letters

Nov. 25, 2009 (excerpts from his email to mom)

The MTC is pretty cool. There's some legit dudes here. My companion is Elder Shirley! He's from Vancouver washington. I need support for my companion he's awesome but he hasn't gotten one letter in the time that he has been here. I love that kid. We get along great and are learning so much together. He is the only other missionary in my district going to the same mission as I am. There's two other sisters in the MTC but they're english speaking and are not in my zone. My entire zone is all spanish. The elders I'm rooming with are Elder Dayton and Elder Knowlton. They are awesome! They have been out 5 weeks longer than me and my companion have been and they are going to Equador on their missions. My teachers are Hermano Swiss who went on his Mission to Argentina and Hermano Nava who went on his mission to Chile. Nava got back in July and Swiss got back two years ago. I've picked up SO MUCH spanish in the time that I have been here. You would be proud!!!

Dallin H. Oaks came and spoke last night and gave a SWEET talk. Both him and his wife did. He talked to us about our purpose as mishes and what not and what the defenition of remember who you are is.

Jeffrey R. Holland is rumored to be speaking tomorrow on thanksgiving. We basically have two P-days in a row. And I have also heard that the prophet speaks to us on Christmas!!!! I'm excited!!! YEAH! *upward fist pump*

There's a rule in the MTC of no music :( because some idiots can't handle it and put music from home on their ipods and listen to them in their rooms.

I am having a blast! I love it here. Please send me letters through Dear Elder, it is better than snail mail.

Bo's Mission Call

The below pictures are when Bo opened his missionary call. There were tears of joy and gratitude for the oportunity to be found worthy to serve. His mission call was sighned by the Prophet himself, President Thomas S. Monson.

Bo has been called to serve in the Florida Tallahassee Mission, speaking Spanish!!! He is so happy!

Bo's Temple Trip

The following pictures were taken on Bo's first trip to the Dallas Temple. It was a special day as most of our extended missionary family was able to attend. Elder Brown, Elder Luna, Elder Holt, Elder Andrus and Elder Pett.

After the Temple our whole family attended La Madeline's for a delicious lunch.

The following Sunday we celebrated with a traditional Mexican Tres Leches cake.
